Not all the scenes were of complex patterns. This one is rather simple in form, with pine trunks set against a sunlit aspen grove.
This was the last image I would take of backlit trees on this hike. It was almost noon and the clouds were beginning to build up in preparation for the afternoon storms.
I picked up my pace a bit to get back to my truck before the inevitable rainshowers.
