I approached the final stretch of the trail as the clouds and overcast came in. The trail rose high above the creek and followed it around a bend.
From this vantage point I could look over the creek and the forest around me.
I paused for a moment to soak in that last bit of my surroundings before heading down towards the trailhead... and home.
